Seed 66:  There are always just a few...

“There are always just a few important principles that acccount for most of the progress we make in our lives.  It is these 'basics' that have the greatest effect on our health, our happiness and our bank accounts...You will never be able to master every aspect of life.  To try to become the master over every detail of your life will only lead to frustration.  Instead, why not go after the few among the many; the few that will make the most difference; the fundamental subjects that will have the greatest impact in determining the quality of your existence?”
Jim Rohn

Something to deeply ponder:
What are you doing to improve your life?  What's your approach?  How are you striving to grow your Self?  Are you still working hard at it?  Or, have you kind of given up, having already tried "everything" and you still can't seem to make the progress you want to make.
Many people have given up.  Many people believe they've done everything they can, but nothing seems to work.  They've resigned their selves to living in mediocrity.
The only reason "nothing works" for them is that they haven't yet come to understand how life works.  They haven't come to understand the few principles that make the biggest difference.
These few basic principles lay the foundation for building the life you desire to live.  Understand and master them and you can consciously create whatever you desire.  Fail to understand and master them and you'll continue to flounder, no matter how hard you try.  Why?
Because the word "principle" is synonymous with "truth," and "truth" is "the way things really are" and "the way things really work."
Accordingly, the more you understand "the way things really work" the more you'll be able to make your life work.
So, never give up.  Keep searching for those "few basic principles" that can truly turn your life around.

Seed 67:  Where it all begins

“A major factor in determining how our lives turn out is the way we choose to think.  Everything that goes on inside the human mind in the form of thoughts, ideas, and information forms our personal philosophy.  Our philosophy then influences our habits and behavior, and this is really where it all begins.”
Jim Rohn

Something to deeply ponder:
What do you believe?  What do you believe to be true about yourself, about the people around you, and about Life itself?  Just what is your "personal philosophy"?
Most people don't take much time to examime their "personal philosophy."  In fact, I would guess that most people aren't even aware they have a "personal philosophy."
On one hand, they want to change their lives.  On the other hand, they're not aware that all change begins with a change in what they choose to think and believe.
All of Life flows from our thoughts and beliefs, or rather, from our "personal philosophy." Accordingly, before we can even think of changing our lives, we have to first change what we think and believe.
If this is true, wouldn't it make sense to constantly monitor and examine our thoughts and beliefs, to make sure they support the kind of life we desire to live?
Even more importantly, wouldn't it make sense to make sure that our thoughts and beliefs are based in truth, for truth is "things are they really are" and "things as they really work"?  After all, if you're experiencing pain of any kind in your life, isn't it because "something's not working right?"
The cause of your pain will always be error in some form.  Replace the error in your thoughts and beliefs and you'll "fix" what's not working.
Again, it all starts with our "personal philosophy," how we choose to think and believe.

Seed 68:  The set of the sail

“We have all experienced the blowing winds of disappointment, despair and heartbreak.  Why, then, would each of us, in our own individual ship of life, all beginning at the same point, with the same intended destination in mind, arrive at such different places at the end of the journey?  Have we not all sailed upon the same sea?  Have we not all been blown by the same winds of circumstance and buffeted by the same turbulent storms of discontent?
"What guides us to different destinations in life is determined by the way we have chosen to set our sail.  The way that each of us thinks makes the major difference in where each of us arrives.  The major difference is not circumstance, the major difference is the set of the sail.”
Jim Rohn

Something to deeply ponder:
What's the major difference between where you are right now and where someone else is right now?  Is it luck?  Is it fate?  Is it predestination?  Is it education?  Is it social status?  Is it money?  Is it appearance?
If you're like most people, you measure where you are in your life right now by comparing yourself to others.  My guess is, based on years of observation and experience, that when you make these comparisons, you'll find yourself on the "short end."  In other words, you'll see yourself as less than those with whom you compare yourself.
As you see others living the way you desire to live, being who you desire to be, and having what you desire to have, my guess is that you often identify the reasons why they are where they are and why you are where you are.
I will also make a bold declaration:  all of the reasons you come up with are incorrect, for there is only one difference between them and you:  they think differently than you do.
Every "reason" you come up with will be an external condition, yet none of these external conditions is the true cause.  How can we know the truth of this?
Simple:  for every external condition you identify, we can find numerous people who who have achieved great success in spite of lacking that external condition.
Further, if you'll make a diligent study of highly successful people, you'll find that they all share a similar belief system.  In other words, they all think in a similar way; and these beliefs will be quite different from those who live in mediocrity.
What this difference in thinking does is determine the level of commitment to a desired outcome and the resulting course of action one takes when facing adversity.
It causes one to rise and move through obstacles instead of shrinking and thereby abandoning desired outcomes.
The way we choose to think "sets our sail."
Therefore, choose your thoughts wisely, for they determine the course of your life and thereby the destinations you reach.

Seed 69:  Learning to reset the sail...

“Learning to reset the sail with the changing winds rather than permitting ourselves to be blown in a direction we did not purposely choose requires the development of a whole new discipline.  It involves going to work on establishing a powerful, personal philosophy that will help to influence in a positive way all that we do and all that we think and decide.  If we can succeed in this worthy endeavor, the result will be a change in the course of our income, bank account, lifestyle and relationships, and in how we feel about the things of value as well as the times of challenge.  If we can alter the way we perceive, judge and decide upon the main issues of life, then we can dramatically change our lives.”
Jim Rohn

Something to deeply ponder:
How is your "sail" set?  How can you change the "set of your sail"?  In other words, how can you change what you think and believe?  How can you change your "personal philosophy"?
All that we "know" is based on our experience and what we've allowed into our minds.  In order to change what we "know," we have to change what we're putting into our minds.
In other words, we have to allow new concepts and ideas into our minds.  We have to deeply ponder on these concepts and ideas to identify which ones "feel right" to us, which ones can take us in the direction we desire to go.
One of the best places to start in changing our personal philosophy is to learn how highly successful people think and what they believe.  The only way to do that -- or to learn new concepts and ideas in general -- is to read.
All you need to learn about how to create the life you desire to live has already been written.  All you have to do is make the decision to find it.
Are you ready and willing to pay the price to obtain the new concepts and ideas that can transform your personal philosophy?
The quality of your life depends entirely on your answer to that question.

Dave Sharp, Savor the Fruits TM

Seed 70:  The decisions we are making...

“All of our counter-productive beliefs and choices are the result of years of accumulating misinformation.  We have simply been around the wrong sources and gathered up the wrong data.  The decisions we are making are not wrong based on the information we have; it is the information we have that is causing us to make wrong decisions.  Unfortunately, these wrong decisions are leading us further away from rather than closer toward the achievement of our goals...Unless we change what we know, we will continue to believe, decide and act in a manner that is contrary to our best interests.”
Jim Rohn

Something to deeply ponder:
How can you tell if your thoughts and beliefs are accurate?  How can you tell if the information you have is corrrect or incorrect?
As a wise person once said, "The proof is in the pudding."  In other words, what kind of results are you producing?
By being aware of the quality of the results we're producing, we can get a feeling about the quality of our thoughts and beliefs.
If we're producing undesirable results, those undesirable results are an indication that our thoughts and beliefs are based in error and need to be addressed.  On the other hand, if the results we're producing are desirable, they're in indication that our thoughts and beliefs are based in truth, for truth is "the way things really work."
It's been said that "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."  I would add that "insanity is thinking the same thing over and over again expecting different actions," for thinking is the starting point of all results.
Therefore, I encourage you to begin to look at the results you're producing.  However desirable or undesirable they may be begin to seek awareness of the thoughts and beliefs that produced these results.
This is how we learned to not touch a hot stove burner or that serving others is a great way to experience joy.
Be willing to examine your experiences, for they all hold the insight and understanding you need in order to refine and change your personal philosophy.

Is there a simple science to getting what you want?
Yes!  It's called "simple·ology, the simple science of getting what you want."
Best of all, it's free!
But is it for you?
Consider these accolades:
“...Immediately tripled my production!”
-- Frank Rumbauskas, NY Times Best-Selling Author of Never Cold-Call Again
“...will turn you into a powerful goal-achieving monster.”
-- Joe Sugarman, Chairman, BluBlocker Corp
“Can something so profound, deep and life-impacting be so simple?”
-- Dr. Man Sivasubramanian
Now, let me add my praise as well:  whenever I've consistently implemented the simple·ology system, I've always achieved more and felt much better about my productivity.  When I haven't used the system (sometimes I have a tendency to just jump into my day), I haven't accomplished what I wanted to for the day, and that leaves me feeling unsatisfied.
With over 200,000 (and growing!) people now using simple·ology worldwide, how could you go wrong?
So, if you'd like a free, simple, quick-and-easy-to- execute system for achieving all of your objectives-- personal and professional-- then simple·ology IS for you!
