What is The Marketplace?
Professor Oaks was by far the scariest professor I had in college!
When I was a junior in college, I had him for a sales management course. He terrified me. He was tough, demanding, strict, and would accept nothing but our best.
Gradually, I came to realize that he was so tough because he wanted us to be prepared. I came to respect and like him rather than fear him.
My senior year I had him again for a required upper-level business course. Early on several of my friends wanted to bail from the class because they, too, were terrified of him. I assured them that he wasn't as bad as he seemed and that it would be all right.
This class was a case class, so all we did all semester was study cases; and he'd call us up to the front of the case and fire questions about the case at us. It was indeed a tough class, but a great learning experience.
Every once in a while Professor Oaks would blow off the class material for that day and just talk to us. He'd talk about business and about life.
One of the things he said one day has stayed with me throughout my life. He said, "When you stop learning, you die."
Since that time until now I have found that learning and expanding my understanding is one of the most exciting and joyful things I can do in Life.
I would encourage you to also make expanding your understanding a life-long endeavor.
Seneca, the great Roman orator and writer said this: "As long as you live, keep learning how to live."
So, should you commit your Self to life-long learning and expansion, I would suggest that you make your top priority the study of the nature and character of Life as well as the laws and principles that govern Life. Therein lie the secrets of how to consciously create desired results, whatever those desired results may be.
The Markplace provides what I've found to be some of the most powerful and significant resources available that provide this priceless understanding of Life.
It includes books, DVDs, training programs, and other tools to assist you in maximizing your ability to gain the insights and information you need to shift your paradigm so you can see Life as it really is rather than seeing it as it appears to be.
In addition, through these resources not only can you gain a much greater understanding of how Life really is and how it really works, but you can also gain a greater understanding of who you really are and how you really work (function).
"Know thyself" has been a critical key to creating a highly successful life for centuries. It's just as true now as it was hundreds of years ago when the saying was inscribed in the forecourt of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi.
My desire is that you'll find these resources as life-changing and enjoyable as I have and, thereby, come to better understand who you really are, that you might then be able to life Life at its fullest.
